A Fifth Generation Family Tradition
A Focus on Tradition
Hartgers Jewelers has been a family owned and operated business since 1912.
With family roots in Amsterdam in The Netherlands, our great great grandfather, Herman Hartgers immigrated as a diamond setter to the United States in 1888 working with diamonds in New York City.
For over six decades the Hartgers family owned a piece of the New York Diamond Exchange buying and selling diamonds and building a business in both the New York and New Jersey area. The business moved to Wyckoff, New Jersey in 1984 to an old farm house that has grown into the the luxury retail store that it is today.
Over the last thirty years, Hartgers Jewelers has grown its brand name by maintaining its tradition of selling the highest quality diamonds and precious gems, as well as building partnerships with the most prestigious Swiss Watch companies worldwide. We are proud authorized dealers for Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, IWC, Franck Muller, Panerai, Baume & Mercier, and Breitling.
The Hartgers Watch Company (HWC)
In 2014, Hartgers Jewelers launched its first ever timepiece, The Hartgers Watch Company. Designed in-house, our focus is to create an activewear luxury watch without the high price-tag.
We are excited to bring our own watch line to our business and strive to continue to grow our brand name to a national and global level. We are proud to share our family tradition through our watch line as we focus to improve upon the reputation and prestige of working in the jewelry world.
As the fifth generation enters the business, the company is focused on building its brand name and becoming a global watch seller, focusing on driving eCommerce sales and business tactics. As our company grows, so does our charity. We are a large supporter of local charities in the North New Jersey region and focused on growing our charitable donations as we introduce our new products.
